Dread Repair is a service offered by Braids by Bee
Bee makes custom made bridges to cover balding areas that will be regrown with treatments until it can sustain individual replacements. Sometimes clients Locs are thin and too heavy and starts to fall out in crown area of head creating bald spots like these. Bee teaches one to treat them and reinforce them to keep what you currently have and repair what you have going on until we are able to solve the main issue which is wanting individual Locs to grow back in its place.
Bee finds alternatives for all types of clients with issues within growing there dreadlocks. This client had skin surgery and some of his skin was used from head to repair his burn injuries on hand. This client has natural long dreadlocks all around however has these permanent scars that does not allow hair to grow. However wanted a solution. All repairs doesn't necessarily mean Bee can have your hair growing back. In many cases Bee finds a solution for your problem but cannot make an area like this grow back. This is a permanent issue. However Bee was able to go in and du surgery. repositioning many Locs and creating new ones in area that needed to be covered. Bee was able to take hair from both sides of scars join together to make Locs to cover scar areas. Then his own dreadlocks was repositioned to where it was more needed. Bee consults every client before scheduled appointments. During consult you send pictures to for Bee to review. However true intentions is to hide area that needs coverage for now while we treat for regret in this area then create Instantlocs and attach client hair beck as individual Locs once hair has grown from scalp.

Finish Product from picture above, I bet you could not tell he had this much hair, yes all his length. After getting in and separating his dreads getting to his scalp. I was then able to wash it then palm twist the roots. Once I twist roots I braided them into rope twist to keep new growth roots in place for it to lock up faster. Then I styled as he wanted into a fishbone braid. As client requested at end of repairs.
Dread Repair includes bridges in dread extensions created to fill in the middle that is missing a few locs that causes many to not be able to do many styles naturally.
DREADLOCKS REPAIR
Reinforce Roots Maintenance & Extended his Natural Locs to make all even.
Natural Thin Brotherlocs are small thin dreads that may pop off or break from thinning or wear and tear. Our type of maintenance called Reinforcing roots allows us to wrap the roots with hair. This allows the dreads that have grown so heavy through the years to be repaired once every 6 months. This type of maint. last for 6-8 weeks.
Natural locs that needs repairs at roots for all loose hairs to be joined with your natural locs. We have a special technique and form of maint. for this type of repair. We wrap your roots with our organic strands of human hair. This allows the strands to now stay in place and also neatens your natural locs appearance.
A Bridge is needed for this client till we treat are and she is able to do individuals again we will fill in area that bridge is create with her own Locs bought in prior to visit for clean up and prepartion for reattaching your own Locs in combination of Bee's technique of InstantLoc Dread Extensions.
Bridge created is often custom according to what the client has going on in the middle sometimes you have no hair in middle and sometimes you do which gets included in bridge when doing this method.
